Random "J" Pictures!!

Here Isabel is having some one-on-one time with "Little Blue", who is really named Jupiter! He has been smaller than the rest of the puppies, so we made sure that he got time alone to nurse a couple of times each day! He is growing steadily; he's just a little smaller than the rest!
Jazzy got the wrong paint color at first!
We realized our mistake, so Jazzy wore two colors for awhile! The puppies really fill up the laundry basket now!
We put them in here when we are weighing puppies and cleaning their bedding! We wash their bedding twice a day at first. (When we start to wean them I wash their bedding each time they are fed. 4 times a day!) It is really important that where they sleep stays clean so later they will be easier to litter box train!

Day 18!!

Here are a couple of pictures of the puppies! The one below is hot pink. They are all growing so fast. Their eyes are open now and they are beginning to walk around(a little wobbly!)
They still love to snuggle! Yes, Isabel looked as sad in person!
The puppies latched on before she laid down. I helped her get more comfortable, don't worry!

We are waiting for Puppy names! We can't barely contain ourselves we want to know so badly!!! We are planning a round of individual pictures of each puppy!

F Litter- Day 3

Isabel's "F" Litter! 1-11-11

Elise is always such a great help during the whelp. Even our cat, Opal, was waiting for the new puppies to arrive.

She is always curious, but keeps her distance!
The first two puppies!
Isabel's first pup was born at 9:00 am. The whole process went really smooth. We did have one still born pup, and that was very sad. It was clear from the moment I saw the pup it wasn't going to live, but we did everything to save it.
We are happy to have eight healthy puppies! What a blessing!

Everyone is doing well and gaining weight. They are all adorable!!

Elise and Malone are doing the "Licking Test!" I should stop calling myself the breeder caretaker, because it really is Elise doing most of the work. I am just overseeing! She has been doing a fabulous job and I am so proud of her!

Mercury and Malone!

I don't want to give away too much personality information here on the blog, mostly just really cut pictures. I want the puppy raisers and Graduates to be able to get to know their dogs without any preconceived ideas from me. However, some pictures might give some clues, and that I can't help!

This is Mercury; he almost always sleeps like this!

Isabel is very patient with all the pups! They are getting so big it is hard to believe they all still fit to nurse at the same time!

Today, they are 21 days old(this pic was taken today, the others earlier this week).

The puppies are finally starting to get the idea not to "go" in the sleeping area! We are very glad to see this!

Her first puppy was born at 11:18pm on April 26th, 2010!

This was also the 40th birthday of our whelping midwife Karen! Happy Birthday Karen!

The funny thing about this picture is that Red didn't nurse until we really worked at it.

Seven healthy puppies!
We were very excited to see all seven because one of the puppies didn't show up completely in the x-ray. So, we were preparing ourselves for a stillborn pup. I think we all said a little prayer before light pink was born at 3:25am, another healthy puppy!

All in all, Isabel's whelping experience was very amazing! Karen, my daughter Elise, my husband and myself were all present to witness the miracle(s) of life! Thanks to Isabel for being the greatest dog ever, and now the greatest Mama dog ever!
