The Ultrasound!

It was finally the day for Isabel's ultrasound! Since Auburn also needed and ultrasound, we took her with us to Santa Rosa. We stopped to play and walk around at Howarth Park. It was overcast but, luckily, it didn't rain on us! We have never had two dogs before, but we realized that when they are as well behaved as Isabel and Auburn it would be easy to do!Here Isabel is being such a good patient! The kids were fascinated by the whole thing!

The ultrasound showed at least three puppies. I am sure there will be plenty more!

Here are the dogs in the back of the Yukon! Sooooo Cute!! On the way home they had to share their space with the stuff we will need for the puppies. I don't think they minded the close quarters. However, the crate kept falling on them, which they didn't really like. Eventually we got the stuff arranged so everyone was happy!

Isabel is Home!!

After spending a month at CCI, we are all glad to have Isabel home! I think she was glad too! She was bred with two males: Baja II, and Saris. Her ultrasound to confirm her pregnancy is the end of March and her puppies are due April 28th(a fun birthday present for Grandma T!) We won't know which puppy is from which father until they are DNA tested.

Here we go, we are off on another adventure!!

Heat Update

Isabel has been at CCI for a week now. The vet thinks she is close to going into heat(how do they know?), so she is staying at least another week. If she does go into heat she will stay three more weeks, which is a total of five weeks. That is a very long time to be without her! If she doesn't go into heat, then she will come home and we will continue to wait. We really are hoping she will go into heat soon. We miss her and we are looking forward to puppies!

Bath Time!

Today, Elise gave Isabel her first bath since she has been with us! This was Elise's first time washing a dog, and she did great!

Of course, Isabel was very patient, even though it was obvious that she didn't enjoy this much!

Back to the good life for Isabel!

She got a bath because tomorrow we are taking her to CCI for a couple of weeks. She hasn't gone into heat yet. So, they are hoping if she spends time with the other females in heat she will go into heat. We hope so! We are looking forward to puppies in April!
